August 4, 2005: Discovery flight.  These flights are used by the fixed based operator (FBO) at the airport to "hook you" on flying.  (Like they needed to hook me)

September 29, 2005:  First Solo!  23.9 hours from start of training, my 22 year old instructor decided to bail out of the plane and let me try it all by myself.   

October 20th, 2005:  First cross country solo.  Fly nonstop to another airport more than 50 miles from departure.

April 13, 2006:  After 78 hours of training, Private Pilot Exam and FAA Checkride. 

October 1, 2006: First long cross country to Minocqua, Wisconsin. 

 

 

 

 

June 14, 2007:  My son and I flew to Cincinnati to watch a Reds vs. Angels game.  We landed at Lunken Airport.

 

 

July 21 & 22, 2007:  Flight to the Northwoods of Wisconsin (KBDJ).

 

 

 

 

 

September 3, 2007: Trip to Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
